Patrick Mahomes ranked first in the NFL in passing touchdowns last season with 50 and second in the NFL in passing yards with 5,097. The Kansas City Chiefs signal-caller will try to put together another MVP-caliber season in 2019.

Mahomes is a +450 co-favorite on the 2019 NFL season betting props to finish the year with the most touchdown passes at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Last year it wasn’t even close; Mahomes’ 50 touchdown passes was a full 11 touchdowns more than second-place Andrew Luck. Ben Roethlisberger (+1800 to have the most passing touchdowns, +800 to have the most passing yards) narrowly edged Mahomes out in passing yards 5,129 to 5,097 last year; Mahomes is a +450 favorite to lead the league in passing yards this season.

Andrew Luck (+450 passing touchdowns, +800 passing yards) enjoyed a fantastic bounce-back season in 2018 with 39 touchdown passes and the fifth most passing yards in the NFL at 4,593. Luck has missed some practice this week with a strained calf. The injury isn’t expected to be serious, but with Luck’s recent history with injuries, it is something to keep on eye on as the regular season approaches. Luck led the league in passing touchdowns in 2014 with 40.

Matt Ryan (+700 passing touchdowns, +500 passing yards) quietly had one of the best seasons in the NFL among quarterbacks last year ranking third in touchdown passes with 35, third in passing yards with 4,924 and fourth in passer rating with a 108.1. Ryan has finished in the top five in passing yards six times over the last seven seasons and has finished as a runner up in both yards and touchdowns, but has never finished on top in either category.

Other quarterbacks projected to be in the mix for big seasons in 2019 on the NFL odds include Aaron Rodgers (+900 passing touchdowns, +800 passing yards), Baker Mayfield (+1400 passing touchdowns, +1400 passing yards), Philip Rivers (+1800 passing touchdowns, +2000 passing yards), Tom Brady (+2000 passing touchdowns, +2500 passing yards) and Drew Brees (+2000 passing touchdowns, +1800 passing yards). Brees led the league in passing yards for three straight seasons from 2014 through 2016.
