BNP Parbias Masters’ top three seeds, Andy Murray (2), Roger Federer (3) and Novak Djokovic (1) all advanced to the round of 16s in Paris.

Djokovic, the current World No. 1 singles player, had the toughest match on Thursday of the top three seeds. He went three sets with Viktor Troicki. The Serb breezed through the third set to complete the match with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 result.

Djokovic made 44 errors and had just 28 winners.

“It’s obvious that I’m still not playing in the form that I had in the last 10 months,” said Djokovic, who returned to the court in Basel last week after a six-week injury layoff. “It takes a little bit of time to get into the rhythm.”

Murray defeated American Andy Roddick in straight sets, leaving 26-year-old John Isner the last American standing in Paris. Roddick only took four games in the match.

“I just need to get in better shape as far as movement, and kind of catch up a little bit,” Roddick said.

Federer also won in straight sets, topping Richard Gasquet, 6-2, 6-4.

John Isner beat Feliciano Lope,z 6-4, 6-2
