For Roger Federer, it was win No. 801. His 6-1, 7-6 (3) defeat of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the finals of Paris gave Federer more than just a victory, but another title for his collection. The 16-time Grand Slam winner added his nine and finals Masters title. Champion of the 2011 BNP Paribas Masters is Federer’s 69th title in his 99th final.
2011 BNP Parbias Masters Results: Roger Federer Wins In Paris, Adds Final Masters Title
Roger Federer picked up career win No. 801 at the BNP Parbias Masters in Paris.

From USA Today:
“I’ve been waiting for this for a long time,” Federer said. “I’m really happy to have finally made it.”
The victory is the Swiss’s second in-a-row. He won his hometown tournament in Basel, Switzerland last week defeating Kei Nishikori.
Federer ends the year with no Grand Slam titles to his name, making it the first time since 2002. His world ranking of No. 4 that places Federer outside of the top 3 is also the first time for Federer since 2003, when he won his first Wimbledon title.
The year, however, isn’t over for Federer. He will compete in the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals this week.
