It’s another backlash in response to Yannick Noah’s outlash.
French Tennis Federation Distancing Itself From Yannick Noah

Now, the French Tennis Federation is starting to distance itself from the 1983 French Open Champion for his comments about doping among Spanish athletes.
Noah’s column in a French newspaper was published on Saturday and the reaction has rumbled through the tennis world, starting with a response from David Ferrer and moving to current world No. 2 and Spainard Rafael Nadal saying that Noah should never be allowed to be published again, calling what he wrote “stupid.”
On Tuesday, the French Tennis Federation called Noah’s comments about the drug use for enhancement among Spanish athletes as “inappropriate.”
From TSN.com:
The FFT said in a statement Tuesday that it “wishes to express its disagreement with regards to the comments made by Yannick Noah” and that “accusations without proof and provocative comments are inappropriate.”
In his article, Noah proposed that the FFT should relax its rules on doping among his French countrymen.
