Novak Djokovic Continues To Dominate The Best In Tennis
In 44 minutes, you can watch a whole episode of Dexter off Tivo (commercial free of course).
In 44 minutes, you can get lunch with a friend at Chipotle.
In 44 minutes, you can read a ton of content on this site.
But give Novak Djokovic 44 minutes - and he’ll beat 16-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer.
Djokovic defeated Federer 6-2, 6-1 in the World Tennis Championships, an exhibition match in Abu Dhabi.
We’re talking about a guy who’s coming off a 70-6 season in 2011 uprooting one of the best tennis players the world has ever seen in the time it takes some of us to do menial tasks.
From the BBC:
“He has won more than 15 matches at the end of 2011 so I’m sure he won’t feel down after this loss here,” said Djokovic.
Sure Djoko. I don’t remember feeling upset at all when I walked off the court after a less-than-an-hour match in high school. Does nothing to the mental game. (Then again who has a mental game that can even compare to The Fed?)
The point is that the 24-year-old Serb’s dominance in 2012 started with a 44-minute delight.
Cheers to another year of fantastic tennis from Mr. Djokovic.
