Roger Federer continues to cruise at the French Open 2011 with another easy result on Wednesday morning. The No. 3 seed took care of Frenchman Maxime Teixeira in under 90 minutes, 6-3, 6-0, 6-2 to advance to the third round. As the score would indicate, Federer dominated the match in all aspects, but particularly excelled in capitalizing on his break point opportunities, converting on over 50 percent of them.

Federer’s first round match was also a straight set victory as he took out Feliciano Lopez in what most expected to be a tough match. In the third round, Federer will face No. 29 Janko Tipsarevic.
Elsewhere around the Roland Garros grounds on Day 4 of the French Open 2011, No. 7 David Ferrer won his second round match in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, 6-2.
On the women’s side, No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki advanced to the third round, beating Aleksandra Wozniak, 6-3, 7-6. Unseeded American Bethanie Mattek-Sands is also into the third round after her three-set win on Wednesday.
