Bernard Tomic Auctioned His Law-Breaking Orange BMW

$200,000. That’s how much the Tomic family hoped they could get for their 19-year-old son Bernard’s orange BMW in an auction Tuesday.

Last December, Tomic was under investigation for dangerous driving of his high-performance BMW M3 sports car. Then in January, Tomic was pulled over on a Thursday morning. He stopped. Then he was pulled over again. He fled.

But now in February, the script of Tomic’s driving troubles with the highly recognizable car are over.

$146,000. That’s the price the sports car was sold for to a “mystery” buyer.

It’s been a mess, folks, but now Tomic will have to let go of his orange slinger and focus on Australia’s Davis Cup match this weekend.

Well, at least until he decides to leave Australia and buys another sports car with his ATP earnings.

From Tennis-X:

“It’s a bit disappointing, but what can you do?” Tomic said. “It’s all gone now. I’m playing tennis and sooner or later I’ll be out of the country.”

That’s right, Bernard. If you can’t have it, sell it and buy a new one in a new country with new laws that were only made to be broken.
