Kevin Anderson first took out a fourth-seeded American and then the No. 1 seeded American in Delray and ended his run for a second ATP title by defeating a qualifier.

The tournament’s No. 7 seed, Anderson used his serve to earn the victory, winning 69 percent of his first service points and 59 percent of his second serve.
Anderson, who defeated Andy Roddick in three sets during the quarterfinals and then John Isner in straight sets during the semifinals, beat Marinko Matosevic for his final victory this week in South Florida.
The 25-year-old Russian won 6-4, 7-6 (2) in just under two hours. He served eight aces.
Matosevic, who is ranked No. 173 in the world, had two aces. He also had five double faults. The 26-year-old unseeded player competed in his first ATP-level final. He was the first qualifier to reach the last match in Delray since 2009, when that qualifier, Evgeny Korolev, won the tournament.
As the winner, Anderson walked away with the prize money of $75,780.
