The Sony Ericsson Open concludes on Sunday with two events, though with all due respect to the competitors in what could be a great women’s doubles final, all eyes will be on one of the events. World No. 1 Novak Djokovic has advanced to the final, and he’ll take on No. 4 seed Andy Murray for the title at the Miami Masters.
Sony Ericsson Open 2012: Novak Djokovic Takes On Andy Murray In Men’s Final
Djokovic has gone through all of his matches in straight sets to get to the final. Andy Murray has been more tested -- he required three sets to get by Janko Tipsarevic -- but he’s also had two of his opponents withdraw. One of those opponents was Rafael Nadal, who withdrew from the semifinal due to an injury.
The women’s doubles final is between No. 5 Maria Kirilenko/Nadia Petrova and No. 6 Sara Errani/Roberta Vinci. Play starts at 1:00 p.m. ET on the stadium court in Miami.
