The American sisters are back. Well, partially.
Serena, Venus Williams Crack WTA Rankings

The Williams sisters are climbing the WTA rankings after a successful week at the Sony Ericsson Open.
Serena cracked the top 10 for the first time since May 2 of last year. Serena lost in the quarterfinals to Caroline Wozniacki in Key Biscayne, Fla. She moved up one spot from No. 11 to No. 10.
Venus cracked the top 100 after reaching the fourth round, where she lost to eventual tournament champion Agnieszka Radwanska. The tournament was Venus’ first since she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease back in Sept. and had to withdraw from the U.S. Open. Venus jumped a whopping 47 spots, from No. 134 to No. 87.
This week marks the 516th week in Serena’s career that she is in the world’s Top 10. Among active players, her mark is second to Venus’, who has spent 554 career weeks in the Top 10.
Both Venus and Serena Williams are scheduled to play in this week’s Family Circle Cup in Charleston, S.C.
