While qualifying matches for the 2012 French Open will continue until Saturday, the main draw will be announced beginning Friday at 10 a.m.
French Open Draw: Time, Online Stream Information And More
The French Open draw takes place on Friday ahead of Sunday’s first round.
Start: Roland Garros will begin Sunday with 2000 ATP and WTA points up for grabs.
TV: For the next two weeks, tennis will appear on, of course, the Tennis Channel. Roland Garros will also be broadcast on ESPN. Weekend matches and the finals will be broadcast on NBC.
Already out: On the men’s side, Gael Monfils, Robin Soderling and American Mardy Fish have already withdrawn from the tournament due to injury. On the women’s side, Daniela Hantuchova and Andrea Petkovic are out of the 2012 Roland Garros. And there’s former world No. 1 Kim Clijsters, who is out with an injury until, at least, Wimbledon. She officially announced on Wednesday that she will retire after this year’s U.S. Open.

I’m good! I am a little sad being here inside this stadium though and not being able to play. It’s very frustrating for me, but I started training again 10 days ago and I’m looking forward to playing again at ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
I was really said after Miami. I thought: ‘oh no, not another injury - I can’t believe it ...’ Those were tough times, particular since it took me a little bit longer to get over it than previous injuries.
But hey (smiles), that’s just the way it is. And I’m really looking forward to all the challenges I still have ahead of me in the coming weeks, with Wimbledon, the Olympics and the US Open...
Fun fact: Rafael Nadal has won six of the last seven titles on the red dirt in France. Roger Federer was the only one to break up seven straight titles with a final victory in 2009.
