Serena Williams is into the semifinals of Wimbledon after beating defending champ Petra Kvitova on Tuesday.

After play has finished on Tuesday, the women’s quarterfinals are officially in the books at Wimbledon and the semifinal matchups are now set.
In the day’s final match, No. 3 Agnieszka Radwanska took on No. 17 Maria Kirilenko for the final spot in the semifinals. Kirilenko managed to force a third set, but could not put Radwanska away. Radwanska ultimately prevailed, 7-5, 4-6, 7-5.
