2012 U.S. Open Schedule And TV Coverage: Victoria Azarenka Opens Day 3

The 2012 U.S. Open continues in Flushing Meadows, N.Y., as second-round play begins for some of the marquee names. Other headliners will be playing their first match of the tournament on Day 3.

Women’s top seed Victoria Azarenka takes to the court for her second-round match at 11 a.m. ET in Arthur Ashe Stadium. She will face unseeded Kirsten Flipkens of Belgium.

John Isner, the top-seeded American and No. 9 overall, will begin his opening-round after Azarenka. That match is scheduled to start no earlier than 1 pm ET. Isner will be taking on Belgian Xavier Malisse.

No. 23 and fan-favorite Kim Clijsters will make it three Belgians in a row on the main court when she meets Laura Robson of Great Britain for her second-round match. They will face-off following the conclusion of Isner’s match.

Both three-seeds Maria Sharapova and Andy Murray highlight the evening session at Arthur Ashe Stadium. Both will be competing in their second-round matches. Sharapova is up first at 7 p.m. ET against Spaniard Lourdes Dominguez Lino. Murray follows as he faces Ivan Dodig of Croatia.
