2012 U.S. Open Scores: Brian Baker Loses In Three Sets to Janko Tipsarevic

Janko Tipsarevic from Serbia defeated Brian Baker in straight sets on Friday at the 2012 U.S. Open, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4.

The No. 8-seeded Tipsarevic gave Baker fits throughout the quick match, which lasted only a shade over two hours. He ended up with 14 aces compared to Baker's two. Baker was ultimately done in by unforced errors, racking up a total of 44 compared to just 23 for Tipsarevic. Baker particularly fell apart in the third set, giving up 20 unforced errors during a time when Tipsarevic was struggling to land his first serve. Tipsarevic only landed 36% of his first serves in the third set.

Tipsarevic advances to the third round of the U.S. Open.
