BNP Paribas Open 2013 results: Roger Federer, Caroline Wozniacki advance on Day 6
Two of the world’s best on the men’s and women’s side were impressive during Monday’s action in the desert.

Federer defeated Ivan Dodig of Croatia in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1, in just over one hour. He was efficient and methodical as he had an 82-percent first-serve point conversion rate and broke serve four times. He’s seeking his first ATP Tour title since August 2012 and appears poised to have a good look at it at the very least.
On the women’s side, fourth-seed Angelique Kerber moved on to the Round of 16 in a defeat of No. 30 seed Yanina Wickmayer, 6-1, 7-6 (4). No. 8 seed Caroline Wozniacki needed only 76 minutes to defeat her opponent, Elena Vesnina of Russia, 6-2, 6-1. Wozniacki won the title at Indian Wells in 2011 with a defeat of Marion Bartoli and finished runner-up in 2010.
