Tommy Haas’ amazing resurgence to the top of men’s tennis continued on Tuesday night with a decisive straight-set win over world No. 1 Novak Djokovic at the Miami Open.

Haas, 35 and the oldest player in the top 50, became the oldest player in the last 30 years to take down a No. 1. His next match will be in the quarterfinals against Gilles Simon. For Novak, the loss means he will not win a third straight Miami Open Titie.

Other results:

Andy Murray passed his biggest test yet in the 2013 Sony Open in Miami, as he defeated No. 19 Andreas Seppi, 6-2, 6-4, in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.

Murray won 28 of the first 31 points and took just 86 minutes to finish the match. As a result, Murray earned a berth in the semifinals and will take on Marin Cilic, a No. 9 seed.

Serena Williams showed no ill effects from the struggles of Monday’s match and soundly defeated Li Na of China in straight sets, 6-3, 7-6 (5), to move on in her quest to be the first female to win six titles in Miami.
