The women’s singles semifinals will get underway on Thursday at the 2013 French Open, while men’s singles competitors have the day off. The final four represent four of the top-five seeds, with No. 5 Sara Errani in over No. 4 Agnieszka Radwanska.
French Open 2013: TV schedule and matches for Thursday at Roland Garros
The women’s finals will be set after Thursday, as Victoria Azarenka takes on Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams takes on Sara Errani.

The first of the semifinal matchups will see No. 2 Maria Sharapova take on No. 3 Victoria Azarenka. Sharapova ran into trouble on Wednesday, getting shut out in the first set before battling back to ultimately win, 0-6, 6-4, 6-3. Last year was a landmark year for Sharapova, given that her victory at Roland Garros was her first, and the one that completed her career grand slam.

Azarenka is appearing in her first semifinals at the French Open and has to feel good about her chances of making it into the finals, winning four of six matches against Sharapova in 2012. That said, as noted by SB Nation’s Bill Connelly, Sharapova won the only matchup between the two on clay.
In the other matchup, No. 1 Serena Williams will take on Errani. Williams is favored to take the win, but Errani has been playing well, especially at the French Open. Her last two wins were victories over Carla Suarez Navarro and the aforementioned Radwanska, so she has a considerable amount of hype behind her. Still, taking out Williams is a tough task and would easily be the biggest win of her career.
Television coverage begins at 6 a.m. ET on the Tennis Channel, and it will run through 9 a.m. From there, ESPN2 will pick up coverage through to 2 p.m. ET. NBC will also have coverage at 11 a.m. through 2 p.m. alongside ESPN2. And finally, the Tennis Channel will have coverage from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
