How to watch French Open 2013 men’s final

How you can watch the French Open men’s final between Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer on your TV and online.

USA TODAY Sports

UPDATE: Nadal defeated Ferrer in straight sets, 6-3 6-2 6-3, to win his eighth title at Roland Garros.

On Sunday, Rafael Nadal will try and secure his eighth French Open championship when he takes on David Ferrer in the finals at Roland Garros. Serena Williams just bested defending champion Maria Sharapova on the women’s side Saturday, and Ferrer will be hoping to do the same, given that Nadal took home the crown last year.

Nadal and Ferrer have a long history, but it’s mostly slanted in favor of the world No. 3. Nadal has won 19 of 23 matches against Ferrer since 2004, including 16-1 on a clay surface and 2-0 at Roland Garros. Ferrer is, as expected, the underdog, though he’s been playing impressive tennis this tournament, having not dropped a set at Roland Garros this year.

Most recently, Nadal defeated No. 1 Novak Djokovic in the semifinals, 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, 6-7 (3-7), 9-7. Ferrer took down No. 6 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-1, 7-6 (7-3), 6-2.

The match will be on NBC following the Women’s Doubles final. NBC will get their coverage started at 9 a.m. ET for the matchup between Nadal and Ferrer. If you can’t watch on TV, you can tune in to NBC’s live stream at NBC Sports Live Extra. That stream will mirror the television coverage.
