French Open 2014: Matches and TV schedule for Monday at Roland Garros

The top two seeds in the men’s bracket will be on display at the French Open on Monday.

With the first day of the French Open complete, tennis fans already have their minds set on a promising second day of action.

Both Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic are playing on Monday and will be heavy favorites in their first-round matchups. A bit of controversy has come up in the tennis world when Djokovic, not Nadal, received prime court placement on Philippe Chatrier. Some considered it a snub for Nadal, who is the top seed and defending champion at the tournament. If both keep winning, however, they’re sure to be the center of attention throughout the tournament.

On the women’s side of the bracket, 2012 winner Maria Sharapova will have her first-round matchup against Ksenia Pervak, a match that should be the main focus in that bracket. Sharapova is definitely still a contender to win the French Open given her recent success on clay courts.

Here is a look at the full schedule for both the television coverage and the matches on Monday.
