Andy Murray has been good enough to navigate his way into the fourth round of this year’s U.S. Open, but he hasn’t been much better than that. The Scotsman, seeded eighth, did not look sharp against Russia’s Andrey Kuznetsov. He won 6-1, 7-5, 4-6, 6-2, but after struggling against Robin Haase in the first round, Murray’s play in the tournament so far has been less than inspired.

He’ll face No. 9 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, who defeated Pablo Carreno Busta in the third round on Saturday. Murray may make his way past the Frenchman on Monday, but if he continues to play below his abilities, he won’t have much of a chance against top-seeded Novak Djokovic later in the tournament. Djokovic is also in action Monday and will face Germany’s Philipp Kohlschreiber 11 a.m. ET at Louis Armstrong Stadium.

In the women’s bracket, No. 1 seed Serena Williams will look to push her way into the quarterfinals against Estonia’s Kaia Kanepi. The match is scheduled to follow a meeting between Flavia Pennetta and Casey Dellacqua at Arthur Ashe Stadium. If Williams can win the event, it would be her sixth U.S. Open victory, which would tie Chris Evert for the most all time.
