2015 Australian Open TV coverage and schedule for Tuesday’s matches

Top seeds Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams will be in action on Tuesday. Here’s how you can watch.

Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY Sports

The first day of the 2015 Australian Open is in the books, but the second day will feature the top seeds from both singles brackets. Novak Djokovic will be in action for the men, while Serena Williams will be playing for the women. Both are favored, and both are approaching significant career milestones.

Djokovic could be the first man in the modern era to land five Australian Open titles, while Williams can move to second all-time in grand slam victories if she nets her 19th overall title in Melbourne. But there’s a long way to go yet, and plenty of ways each can slip up. Obviously, that’s not terribly likely at this stage --- Djokovic will take on unseeded Aljaz Bedene, while Williams plays unseeded Alison Van Uytvanck.

There are plenty of other top names in action on Tuesday as well, like Stan Wawrinka and Milos Raonic for the men, and Caroline Wozniacki and Petra Kvitova for the women. The women will be playing with the knowledge that eight seeded women fell on the opening day, including Ana Ivanovic and Angelique Kerber.

The matches will be played on Tuesday local time, but will begin on Monday in the United States. Television coverage of the day’s matches will begin at 6 p.m. ET Monday on the Tennis Channel. That coverage will run through 9 p.m., while ESPN2 will have coverage from 9 p.m. through 7 a.m. on Tuesday. Those hoping to watch online can do so at WatchESPN or the official website.
