French Open 2015: TV schedule and matches for Monday at Roland Garros

Federer-Monfils will resume Monday, adding to what was already a superstar day at the French Open. Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic, Maria Sharapova, Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal are also in play.

The fourth round of the 2015 French Open continues into Monday with a high-profile match already in progress. Darkness forced No. 2 Roger Federer and No. 13 Gael Monfils to resume their match -- tied one set apiece at the start of the third set -- in the early afternoon at Roland Garros. Monfils, a Frenchman, owns momentum after taking the second set, 6-4, in front of a crowd comprised primarily of his countrymen.

Federer-Monfils only adds to what was already expected to be a star-studded day of tennis. The Nos. 1 seeds on the men’s and women’s sides (Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic) will be in action against unseeded Sloane Stephens and No. 20 Richard Gasquet (another Frenchman), respectively. Women’s No. 2 Maria Sharapova will face a tough test against No. 13 Lucie Safarova to start the day’s proceedings at 11 a.m. local time (4 a.m. ET) on Philippe-Chatrier Court. Later, men’s No. 3 Andy Murray will take on yet another French player, unseeded Jeremy Chardy.

If all that wasn’t enough, the King of Clay himself will be taking on an upstart American. Rafael Nadal has won the last five French Opens and nine of the last 10. Injuries to end 2014 led to a string of earlier-than-expected exits in 2015, and as a result Nadal went to Roland Garros with a relatively low No. 6 seed. On Monday, he gets unseeded Jack Sock, whose run to the fourth round includes an upset over No. 10 Grigor Dimitrov. Should Nadal win, it could set up perhaps the most anticipated match of the tournament -- a quarterfinal bout against Djokovic.

Television coverage switches back to the ESPN family of networks after NBC hosted coverage Sunday. ESPN2 will show matches live from 5-10 a.m. ET, with WatchESPN providing a live stream for those on their laptops or mobile devices. The Tennis Channel will pick up coverage at 10 a.m. and broadcast until 3 p.m. It will also stream matches online through its premium service.

Below is Monday’s schedule. Check out the official website of Roland Garros for a complete schedule and draws for both the men’s and women’s singles tournaments.
