There is only one semifinal matchup left to play at the 2016 Australian Open. We already know who will be playing for the women’s singles title this year, as top seed Serena Williams and No. 7 seed Angelique Kerber both advanced past their semifinal matches on Thursday.
2016 Australian Open results and bracket: Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic advance to finals
Djokovic and Williams will both be playing in the finals of the 2016 Australian Open.

We also know that men’s top seed Novak Djokovic will comprise one half of the finals after he got past his tough opponent, Roger Federer, on Thursday.
Federer, the tournament’s third seed, made it to the semifinals after he was drawn in the same half as Djokovic. Everyone assumed this match was coming, but it was even less competitive than some may have guessed. Djokovic was pushed to four sets, but ultimately he dominated Federer, 6-1, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.
Djokovic advances to the finals, where he will face either No. 2 seed Andy Murray or No. 13 seed Milos Raonic. Those two will face each other on Friday for the final semifinal matchup.
Williams advanced to the women’s finals by dominating her highest-seeded competition in Agnieszka Radwanska, 6-0, 6-4. With Simona Halep and Garbine Muguruza both out, fourth-seeded Radwanska was considered the best shot at beating Williams.
In the finals, Williams will face Kerber for the first major singles title of the year. Kerber beat Johanna Konta in her semifinal matchup, 7-5, 6-2. That finals match will take place after a rest day, during which Murray and Raonic will face off.
