French Open 2016: Times, TV schedule, matches and live stream for Day 7 at Roland Garros

Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams will play in third-round matchups on Saturday.

While Friday saw the early departure of Rafael Nadal from the 2016 French Open due to injury, Saturday will feature top seeds Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams making yet another push toward a grand slam title. For Williams, it would simply be more continued dominance for a woman who has won every Grand Slam multiple times, albeit one who was dealing with injury concerns of her own earlier in the year.

For Djokovic, it would complete his career grand slam, as he has never won the top title on the clay of Roland Garros. Djokovic came close last year, besting Nadal in the quarterfinals before falling to Stan Wawrinka in the finals. Wawrinka himself is playing well and advanced to the fourth round without much issue on Friday. Djokovic will be facing unseeded Aljaz Bedene in his third-round match on Saturday.

Williams will take on her first seeded opponent of the tournament, as she is set to face No. 26 Kristina Mladenovic. Though Williams is the most dominant tennis player in the world and is heavily favored to win, it was good news for her on Friday when Petra Kvitova, the tournament’s 10th seed, went out in the third round.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, the best hope for a Frenchman winner of this year’s French Open, will take on Ernests Gulbis on Saturday. Tomas Berdych and David Ferrer are other top men who will be in action. Serena’s sister, Venus, will be taking on Alize Cornet on Saturday, and No. 8 Timea Bacsinszky will face Pauline Parmentier in her match.

Television coverage of the day begins at 5 a.m. ET on the Tennis Channel. Their coverage will run through 12 p.m. Then NBC will pick up coverage on their flagship network. Online streaming is available at NBC Sports Live Extra and the Tennis Channel.
