Rio tennis 2016: Time, TV schedule and live stream for Sunday

Three gold medals will be given out on the final day of tennis Sunday.

Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY Sports

Sunday will be the last day of play at the 2016 Rio Olympics, with several medals on the line. The men’s singles gold medal match between No. 2 seed and defending Olympic champion Andy Murray and unseeded Juan Martin Del Potro highlights the day of action, though there will be plenty of doubles play as well.

Bravo will televise the tennis medal matches beginning at 11 a.m. ET, with online streaming provided by NBC Sports.

The women’s doubles gold medal match between the team of Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina of Russia and Timea Bacsinszky and Martina Hingis of Switzerland will also be held. The bronze medal has already been won by the team of Lucie Safarova and Barbora Strycova of the Czech Republic. They triumphed over compatriots Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka.

In mixed doubles action, it will be an all-USA competition in the gold medal match. The US has won bronze in men’s doubles but they were shut out of singles action. They will earn a gold or silver on Sunday, when the team of Venus Williams and Rajeev Ram faces off against the team of Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Jack Sock.

Finally, in the mixed doubles bronze medal match, Lucie Hradecka and Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic will face off against Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna of India.

Play on Sunday will begin at 11 a.m. ET. The women’s doubles gold medal match will be played first thing on Centre Court, followed by the mixed doubles gold medal match and then the men’s singles gold medal match. The mixed doubles bronze medal and men’s singles bronze medal matches will be played on Court 1, beginning at the same time.
