Play at the 2017 Australian Open from Melbourne Park will get underway on Sunday, at least as far as the United States is concerned. The action will begin at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday and will go throughout the night, ending early on Monday morning. The first day will see top seeds Andy Murray and Angelique Kerber in action.

Andy Murray and Angelique Kerber will both be in action for the first day of the Australian Open.


The day’s first-round matches will be broadcast on ESPN2, with a live stream available online at WatchESPN. Tennis Channel Everywhere will also provide some online viewing of the tournament.
Murray will open his Grand Slam year with a match against Illya Marchenko, while Kerber finds herself up against Lesia Tsurenko. The fourth seeds from both men’s and women’s brackets — Stan Wawrinka and Simona Halep, respectively — will also be in action. Wawrinka is set to face Martin Klizan, while Halep will take on Shelby Rogers.
Men’s fifth seed Kei Nishikori will face Andrey Kuznetsov, seventh seed Marin Cilic will take on Jerzy Janowicz and rounding out the top 10 will be Tomas Berdych, the tenth seed, up against Luca Vanni. For the women, seventh seed Garbine Muguruza, eighth seed Svetlana Kuznetsova and 10th seed Carloa Suarez Navarro will face Marina Erakovic, Mariana Duque-Marino and Jana Cepelova, respectively.
