There were some seeded casualties in the first part of the Australian Open second round, but nothing huge. On Wednesday and Thursday, second seeds Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams will be in action trying to punch their respective tickets into the second round.

Williams will face the tough Lucie Safarova in her second-round matchup. Djokovic has to face Denis Istomin, another unseeded opponent. Neither are gimmie matches though. These matches will begin on Wednesday evening in the United States, and will continue through Thursday morning. For the players in Melbourne, all play will take place on Thursday.

Play in the United States gets underway at 9 p.m. ET on Wednesday. The day’s matches will be broadcast by ESPN2 and an online stream will be available live online at WatchESPN.

There are a bunch of top seeds in action on the day. Milos Raonic, the third seed for the men, will face Gilles Muller. Sixth seed Gael Monfils, eighth seed Dominic Thiem and ninth seed Rafael Nadal will all be in action against unseeded opponents in Alexandr Dolgopolov, Jordan Thompson and Marcos Baghdatis, respectively.

On the women’s side, third seed Agnieszka Radwanska will take on Mirjana Lucic-Baroni. Fifth seed Karolina Pliskova, sixth seed Dominika Cibulkova and ninth seed Johanna Konta will take on Anna Blinkova, Su-Wei Hsieh and Naomi Osaka, respectively.
