A pair of massive upsets rocked the Australian Open’s second round in the early hours of Thursday when men’s second seed Novak Djokovic was bounced in three sets by unseeded Denis Istomin and women’s third seed Agnieszka Radwanska fell to unseeded Mirjana Lucic-Baroni in straight sets.

Istomin came into the Australian Open as the No. 117-ranked player in the world. Djokovic came into the tournament having won it six times and came out on the losing end of a grueling five-set, four-hour-and-48-minute match. Istomin’s winning score was 7-6(8), 5-7, 2-6, 7-6(5), 6-4.

It’s only the second time in the past seven years that Djokovic has lost to a player ranked outside the top 100, the last being a defeat at the hands of the red-hot Juan Martin del Potro — ranked 145th in the world — at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Men’s top seed Andy Murray was already the favorite to win the tournament as Djokovic entered Melbourne with a lot to prove. Now Murray will be even more heavily favored.

Radwanska was eyeing the No. 2 ranking in the world, that which belongs to Serena Williams, who lost her top spot to Angelique Kerber in 2016. But Lucic-Baroni made short work of her, dropping her in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2.

Williams, on the other hand, did the same to her second-round opponent in Lucie Safarova, besting her in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, to advance. Williams is still one of the favorites to win it all.

On the men’s side, there were no other significant upsets. Third seed Milos Raonic took down Gilles Muller in straight sets, while sixth seed Gael Monfils needed four sets to best Alexandr Dolgopolov and eighth seed Dominic Thiem needed four of his own to best Jordan Thompson.

On the women’s side, the other top-10-seeded players, fifth seed seed Karolina Pliskova, sixth seed Dominika Cibulkova, and ninth seed Johanna Konta, all took down their second-round opponents in straight sets on Thursday, besting Anna Blinkova, Su-Wei Hsieh, and Naomi Osaka, respectively.

Below is a full list of singles results from play on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning at the Australian Open.
