Serena Williams is looking great through three rounds of play at the Australian Open. On Saturday in Melbourne, she punched her ticket into the Round of 16 by making short work of Nicole Gibbs, also of the United States. Williams beat Gibbs, 6-1, 6-3, in straight sets.

Williams is the second seed in the tournament, trailing Angelique Kerber. She struggled last year despite reaching 22 career Grand Slam titles. She tied Steffi Graf for the most Grand Slam titles of any woman in the Open era, and she is now chasing Margaret Court, whose 24 career Grand Slam titles bridged the Amateur and Open eras.

These Saturday matches actually began on Friday evening in the United States and wrapped up on Saturday morning.

One significant upset on the day saw unseeded American Jennifer Brady take down the 14th-seeded Elena Vesnina. Brady is now into the fourth round after her straight-set, 7-6(4), 6-2, victory.

Another big matchup from the women’s singles bracket saw ninth seed Johanna Konta take on the very tough Caroline Wozniacki, the 17th seed. And Konta managed to take her down in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1.

Men’s No. 20 seed Ivo Karlovic found himself eliminated when he ran into No. 11 David Goffin on Saturday. Goffin made short work of Karlovic, taking him down, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4.

The top-seeded man left in this half of the bracket, Milos Raonic, was pushed to four sets against Gilles Simon, but ultimately came out on top, 6-2, 7-6(5), 3-6, 6-3. Raonic is the third seed and is now into the Round of 16.

Rafael Nadal, the ninth seed, was pushed to five sets against No. 24 Alexander Zverev. Nadal has played great tennis thus far at the Australian Open, but with an injury-riddled 2016 not that far gone, it was worrying to see him pushed to the brink. Still, he came out on top and advanced along with other top seeds, like sixth seed Gael Monfils and eighth seed Dominic Thiem.

Below is a list of results from Day 6 at the Australian Open.
