The 2017 French Open has just one more marquee matchup to go, and it’s a big one. Rafael Nadal is trying to win his 10th men’s singles title as he is set to take on Stan Wawrinka in the finals on Sunday.
French Open 2017: Times, TV schedule, matches, and live stream for Sunday at Roland Garros
Rafael Nadal is trying to earn his 10th French Open title on Sunday.

Nadal, the fourth seed, has looked incredible and is the favorite going into his match against Wawrinka, the third seed. Sunday’s match will begin at 9 a.m. ET and will be broadcast by NBC in the United States. A live stream will be available online at NBC Sports and via the NBC Sports app on various connected devices.
Wawrinka is a game opponent, and one of the absolute best players in the world. But beating Nadal on the clay of Roland Garros might be the tallest test in all of sports. Nadal has played 80 matches there, and he’s lost just twice since debuting as an 18-year-old in 2005.
Twice. The first came in 2009 when Robin Soderling beat him amid injuries and other issues for the Spaniard. The second came two years ago when Novak Djokovic was riding one of the most dominant streaks in tennis history.
Nadal made short work of Dominic Thiem in the semifinals, and has looked great all tournament. Thiem was riding the hot hand and was a popular pick to win the French Open, especially after he thrashed Djokovic in the quarterfinals in straight sets. But Nadal disposed of him in a manner that should only frighten Wawrinka.
Wawrinka, 32, has won all of the Grand Slams save for Wimbledon. He took the French Open in 2015, and made it through Andy Murray, the top seed, in his semifinal match on Friday. But that match went five sets, and Wawrinka has to be feeling some fatigue.
Nadal has dealt with injuries and hasn’t been at his best in recent years. But he’s had a remarkably calm run through the French Open field and should be as fresh as ever in the final on Sunday.
