The way is clear for Roger Federer to win his eighth title on the grass courts of Wimbledon. On Friday, Federer, the third seed, will face No. 11 Tomas Berdych in the first of two semifinal matchups.

Roger Federer, Tomas Berdych, Marin Cilic and Sam Querrey will be in semifinal action at Wimbledon on Friday. Here’s how you can watch it all.

The other will see seventh seed Marin Cilic take on No. 24 Sam Querrey, an American who eliminated Andy Murray in the quarterfinals.
Friday’s semifinals will begin at 8 a.m. ET and will be broadcast by ESPN in the United States. The matches will be played on Centre Court, one after the other, with Querrey and Cilic taking the court first. A live stream of the action will be available online at WatchESPN and via the ESPN app.
Federer has been the favorite since he sat out of the clay court season to keep his body fresh. He’s getting up there in years, but the time off seems to have been a great idea. He looked great at the Halle Open prior to Wimbledon and he’s blitzed through most of his opponents at The Championships.
He will be playing someone who should be fresh in Berdych, however. Berdych only saw the court for one set in the quarterfinals before Novak Djokovic, the second seed, had to retire with an injury. Berydch was pushed to five sets in the Round of 16 against Dominic Thiem, however.
Cilic took down Roberto Bautista Agut in straight sets in the fourth round, and then was taken five sets by Gilles Muller, the man who eliminated Rafael Nadal in another five-setter the previous round. Cilic prevailed over Muller, but he’s got to be feeling some wear and tear.
Querrey, the surprise semifinalist, took down Kevin Anderson in the fourth round and Murray in the quarterfinals. But he needed five sets for each of those wins, and among all of those still in has seen the court for the longest amount of time in this tournament.
The women’s final is already set, and will feature No. 10 Venus Williams against No. 14 Garbine Muguruza. Those two eliminated Johanna Konta and Magdalena Rybarikova, respectively, on Thursday. The women’s final will take place on Saturday, with the men’s final on Sunday to close out the Grand Slam.
