Venus Williams, often overshadowed by her sister, has found glory at Wimbledon many times. But it’s been a long time since she’s hoisted the title at The Championships, the last one being in 2008. On Saturday, the 37-year-old will try to earn Grand Slam No. 8 and Wimbledon title No. 6 when she faces Garbine Muguruza in the finals.
Wimbledon 2017: Time, TV schedule, live streaming for Saturday’s matches
Venus Williams and Garbine Muguruza will play for the women’s singles title at The Championships.

That match will begin bright and early, at 9 a.m. ET, which comes out to 2 p.m. in London. ESPN will carry the match live, and an online stream will be available via WatchESPN in your web browser or via the ESPN App on various connected devices, including smartphones.
Any other streaming services that carry ESPN, such as Playstation Vue and SlingTV, will also have the match at 9 a.m. The men’s and women’s doubles finals will also be taking place on the day, and can be streamed using the methods listed above. ABC will have encore coverage beginning at 3 p.m.
Muguruza, the 14th seed at Wimbledon, made it to the finals in 2015, but couldn’t get the win. She has won just a single Grand Slam title, hoisting the Coupe Suzanne Lenglen on the clay of Roland Garros in 2016.
Williams and Mugurza have played each other four times, with Williams owning three wins between them. The last match, though, was on the clay of the Rome Masters earlier this year, and was won by Muguruza in three sets. Williams took the first three matches, all on the hard courts.
This will be their first match against one another on grass courts, and their first at a Grand Slam event.
On the way to the finals, Muguruza unseated top seed Angelique Kerber, seventh seed Svetlana Kuznetsova, and bested her surprise-unseeded opponent, Magdalena Rybarikova, in the semifinals.
Williams took down No. 27 Ana Konjuh in the fourth round, French Open winner Jelena Ostapenko in the quarterfinals, and sixth seed Johanna Konta in the semifinals.
The men’s doubles final will be on Centre Court after Muguruza or Williams earns the title. That match sees the fourth-seeded pairing of Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo against the 16th-seeded Oliver Marach and Mate Pavic.
The women’s doubles final is after that, featuring the second-seeded pairing of Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina taking on the ninth-seeded Hao-Ching Chan and Monica Niculescu.
