When Roger Federer won the Australian Open earlier in 2017, everyone was officially on notice for the grass court season. He stopped grabbing headlines for a short while when he sat out the clay court season, including the French Open, but the rhetoric was that he was trying to keep himself, at 35 years old, fresh and healthy for Wimbledon.

He’s certainly done that, and went into Wimbledon as the favorite. On Sunday, he’ll be facing Marin Cilic for the right to hoist the title at The Championships. For Federer, it would be the eighth time he’d done so, and it would account for his 19th Grand Slam title.

If Cilic manages the upset, it would be his first ever win at Wimbledon and his second Grand Slam title overall, his last being a win at the US Open in 2014.

Sunday’s men’s championship will begin at 9 a.m. ET and will be broadcast by ESPN in the United States. A live stream will be available online via WatchESPN and via the ESPN App on connected smart devices. ABC will have encore coverage of the match at 3 p.m.

Federer and Cilic have played each other seven times in the past, with Federer taking six of those meetings. They last played in 2016, on these same grass courts of Wimbledon. Federer won that match, but needed five sets to do it, 6-7(4), 4-6, 6-3, 7-6(9), 6-3.

Cilic last beat Federer on the hard courts of the US Open in 2014, the year that he won the title. That match was in the semifinals, and Cilic won it in straight sets. Federer took the other five meetings, dating back to 2008.

On his way to the finals, Federer made it past the tough Grigror Dimitrov in the Round of 16, Milos Raonic in the quarterfinals and Tomas Berdych in the semifinals. Federer hasn’t yielded a set this tournament.

Cilic also took an impressive route to the finals, beating Steve Johnson in the third round, Roberto Bautista Agut in the Round of 16, Gilles Muller in the quarterfinals and Sam Querrey in the semifinals. He was pushed to five sets against both Querrey and Muller, both of whom had to have been tired after long matches themselves in earlier rounds.

He also lost in the finals at Queen’s, with Feliciano Lopez taking the title on those grass courts. Federer, in preparation for Wimbledon, ran through the Halle Open, beating Alexander Zverev in the finals there. All the momentum seems to belong to Federer, who hasn’t hoisted the title at Wimbledon since 2012.

The women’s singles finals were played on Saturday, as Garbine Muguruza defeated Venus Williams to win her first ever title at Wimbledon. Many felt Williams would win, expecting Williams and Federer to lift the titles together as they have done so often in the past.

Below is all you need to know to watch the men’s singles championship on Sunday.
