The final Grand Slam of the 2017 tennis season is just about here with the US Open from the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City. Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Angelique Kerber, Simona Halep and more will be in action.

But one of the biggest stories of this tournament is who isn’t going to be participating. Last year’s men’s finalists, Novak Djokovic and Stan Wawrinka, won’t be competing due to injury. Ditto Milos Raonic and a couple of others, leaving one half of the bracket stacked and the other standing Andy Murray all to himself.

On the women’s side, Serena Williams also won’t be in action due to her pregnancy, while her sister, Venus Williams, will be playing. Garbine Muguruza is one of the favorites for the women, but anything can happen.

Nadal and Federer, on the men’s side, will be in the same half and can meet each other in the semifinals. Murray’s top competition in the bottom half of the bracket is Alexander Zverev, with a potential meetup in the semifinals.
