The third round of the 2017 US Open gets underway on Friday, and that means Venus Williams and Maria Sharapova are the top players in action. On the men’s side, Marin Cilic is the highest-remaining seed in the lower half of the bracket after Andy Murray dropped out and Alexander Zverev fell to Borna Coric in his second-round match on Wednesday.

Play on Friday begins bright and early at 11 a.m. ET, though television coverage doesn’t begin until ESPN goes live at 1 p.m. That coverage will go through 6 p.m., and will then shift to ESPN2, where it will run through 11 p.m. Live streaming of all courts will be available from 11 p.m. on WatchESPN in web browsers and via the ESPN App on various connected devices.

Cilic, the fifth seed, will take on Diego Schwartzman in his third-round match. Schwartzman is the No. 29 seed for the US Open, so it’s the first time both will be up against seeded competition in this Grand Slam. Dominic Thiem, the sixth seed, made it through and is now one of the favorites not named Rafael Nadal or Roger Federer.

Sharapova is unseeded and will be up against Sofia Kenin, another unseeded player. Sharapova is playing in her first Grand Slam since a doping ban 15 months ago, and took down Simona Halep, the second seed, in the first round of the tournament.

Williams, the ninth seed and one of the favorites in a depleted field that doesn’t include her sister, Serena Williams, will take on Maria Sakkari on Friday.

Below is all the information you need to know to watch Friday’s action as well as a full list of men’s and women’s singles matches. As always, you can find updated brackets and results for men’s singles here and women’s singles here.
