The 2018 Australian Open is nearly at an end, all that remains is the men’s final between Roger Federer and Marin Cilic, which will take place in the early hours of the morning on Sunday. Because the play is in Melbourne, those watching in the United States will need to tune into ESPN at 3:30 a.m. ET.

On top of that, the match will be streamed live online at WatchESPN, with a projected end time of around 6:30 a.m.

Cilic has won a single Grand Slam title, taking the US Open in 2014, and this marks his first ever final at Melbourne. He also made the finals of Wimbledon in 2017, but hasn’t been past the quarterfinals at the French Open. He’s currently the sixth-ranked men’s singles player.

Federer has 19 Grand Slam titles, already the best male tennis player of all time, but he can put an exclamation point on that by getting number 20. He is also the defending champion of the Australian Open, and has won it five times in the past.

Cilic, 29, is no stranger to tennis at this level, but he’s facing the man who has been in this spotlight pretty much every year for the past 20 years.

Federer and Cilic have faced each other nine times as professionals, with the last being at the ATP World Tour Finals in 2017, also a hard court like in Melbourne. Federer won that one in straight sets, and also beat Cilic in the final at Wimbledon that year.

Cilic has only beaten Federer once in nine matches, back in the 2014 US Open semifinals. It was a straight-set victory, something that Federer has earned against Cilic every time but twice — his loss, and at the 2016 Wimbledon quarterfinals, when he beat Cilic in five sets.

The women’s final was won by Caroline Wozniacki, who needed three sets to beat Simona Halep. Both women were battling for their first Grand Slam title, but Wozniacki is the one who gets hers, becoming the first woman from Denmark to do so.

Below is all you need to know to follow the Australian Open action on Sunday.
