The 2018 French Open, the second Grand Slam of the year, got underway on Sunday and there were some notable upsets. The defending women’s champion, Jelena Ostapenko, is out at the hands of Kateryna Kozlova. Venus Williams, the ninth seed, well to Qiang Wang — both lost in straight sets.

On Monday, play will continue with all of Caroline Wozniacki, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and others in action.
Play begins at 5 a.m. and will be broadcast by the Tennis Channel through 3 p.m. NBC will also have coverage of select matches from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Live streaming of the NBC coverage is available via fuboTV, NBC Sports or the NBC Sports app, while live streaming of every court can be had with a subscription to Tennis Channel Plus.
In addition to Ostapenko and Williams, No. 22 Johanna Konta fell for the women. On the men’s side, none of the top seeds lost, with all of Alexander Zverev, Grigor Dimitrov and David Goffin making it through, though Goffin was pushed to five sets by Robin Haase.
Nadal’s opener is against Simone Bolelli, while Djokovic, the 20th seed, will take on Rogerio Dutra Silva. Wozniacki, the second seed, will face Danielle Collins. Karolina Pliskova and Petra Kvitova will both be in action, against Barbora Krejcikova and Veronica Cepede Royg, respectively.
