Sam Gordon is the next Internet sports superstar
Turns out the human equivalent of Christian Okoye in Tecmo Super Bowl is a little girl.
Her name is Sam Gordon, she appears to be somewhere between 7-10 years old, and she plays football. It would be interesting enough if Sam were a kicker, a lineman (girl?), or just on the team in some capacity where she didn’t have a sizable impact on actual games. Instead, despite being extremely undersized, Sam is a star running back.
Star isn’t used lightly here. This past season, Sam rushed for 1,911 yards, 35 touchdowns, averaged 8.2 yards per carry and also notched 65 tackles on the other side of the ball.
Oh, and by the way, she’s f’ing fearless.
After the first couple of highlights you kind of wonder whether or not the other boys are just taking it easy on her, but any doubt is removed during the “taking a hit” section. Even Becky “The Icebox” O’Shea would have called it a career after being blindsided like that.
Little else is known about Sam at this moment, but my guess is that’s about to change. Kid’s a star.
