Some people are scared of stereotypes and run from them, doing their best to ensure they are never caught in one. Others don’t care. And then there are the select few who do everything in their power to make sure that they fit the stereotype perfectly.
French clubs suspected of match-fixing with wine
That’s so French.

French clubs Caen and Nimes fit perfectly.
Authorities are currently investigating the clubs for match-fixing in a Ligue 2 match, according to L’Equipe. Nimes, in desperate need of a result to avoid relegation, apparently tried to bribe Caen into settling for a draw by offering them wine. As part of the agreement, Nimes would deliver cases of wine to the Caen dressing room at halftime. It is unclear whether the players would drink it at halftime, but seeing as they love their stereotypes so much, probably.
There is nothing more French than match-fixing by way of wine. Not unless there was also cheese involved.
Way to be super French, French.
