One of the most interesting names on the WNBA free agency market seems to have made her choice, as Alexa Philippou of ESPN reports that Jackie Young will be heading back to the Las Vegas Aces. The one-year deal will reportedly be worth $1.19 million.

This is a 10/10 move for the reigning champion Aces, as Young was one of the hottest names on the free agency market — especially among players that hadn’t vocally committed to staying with their 2025 teams. The Aces drafted Young No. 1 overall in 2019, and since then, she has helped them win three championships while becoming one of the league’s best two-way guards.

The Aces (+390) currently have the second-best odds to win the 2026 championship on FanDuel, only trailing the Minnesota Lynx (+370).

Philippou’s reporting continues to note that Young did not end up taking meetings with other teams, focusing her negotiations with the Aces. The Aces are trying their hardest to run it back with the 2025 championship squad, signing Jackie and getting a verbal commitment from A’ja Wilson to sign back with Las Vegas.

The Aces have also sent out qualifying offers to NaLyssa Smith and Kierstan Bell. They’ll be missing their 2025 rookie, Aaliyah Nye, as she was selected in the WNBA expansion draft by the Toronto Tempo.

Overall, this is the best-case scenario for the Aces. Young averaged 16.5 points per game in 2025, along with 5.1 assists and a career-high 4.5 rebounds per game. With her and Wilson seemingly locked in, they can move on to trying to bring back Chelsea Gray.
