USA Basketball announced on Monday the 13 athletes are expected to participate in the 2024 USA Basketball 3x3 Women’s National Team development camp from November 8th to 10th in Phoenix. Participants will be considered for future USA 3x3 national team assignments — including the world championships and in the Olympics.

The following athletes will be in attendance:

  • Shakira Austin — Washington Mystics third-year center, drafted with the No. 3 pick out of Ole Miss in 2022. Austin won a 5-on-5 gold medal at the 2022 FIBA Women’s World Cup.
  • Grace Berger — Second-year guard, drafted with the No. 7 pick out of Indiana. Berger was a member of the 2021 FIBA Women’s AmeriCup Team that won gold.
  • Rae Burrell — Los Angeles Sparks third-year guard, drafted with the No. 9 pick out of Tennessee. Burrell was a 5-on-5 participant for the 2021 USA Women’s AmeriCup Team trials.
  • Emily Engstler — Washington Mystics third-year forward, drafted with the No. 4 pick out of Louisville. Engstler won a gold medal at the 2022 FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup.
  • Natasha Howard — Dallas Wings veteran forward, just completed her 10th WNBA season. Howard has competed in multiple 5-on-5 training camps.
  • Abbey Hsu — Columbia University standout guard drafted with the No. 34 pick by the Connecticut Sun. Hsu was on the silver medal USA squad at the 2023 FIBA Women’s AmeriCup.
  • Taylor Mikesell — Second-year guard drafted No. 13 out of Ohio State. Mikesell has won a silver (2019 Pan American Games) and bronze (2016 FIBA U17 World Cup) in 5-on-5.
  • Alissa Pili — Minnesota Lynx rookie forward drafted No. 8 out of Utah. Pili participated in the 2023 USA Basketball 3x3 Nationals.

The Mystics are most heavily represented in the 3x3 developmental camp, boasting 4 players, while the Sparks have two. Mikesell and Hsu are the only two players not currently in the WNBA.

The 2024 Olympic women’s basketball 3x3 team was made up of Hailey Van Lith, Rhyne Howard, Dearica Hamby, and Cierra Burdick. That group, which was initially meant to include Cameron Brink before she tore her ACL, finished with a bronze medal.
