The Chicago Sky have acquired the No. 11 pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft from the Minnesota Lynx, the team announced Sunday evening. In exchange, Minnesota receives the Sky’s first-round pick in 2026. The Lynx also no longer have the right to swap 2026 first-right picks with Chicago — a pick swap they acquired last year.

“We believe the 2025 draft class is deep, and we’re excited about the flexibility we obtain by acquiring another first-round pick this year,” Sky general manager Jeff Pagliocca said in a statement. “The No. 11 pick represents another route to improve our roster.”

As a result, the Sky now have the No. 10, No. 11, No. 16, and No. 22 picks in the draft. They previously held the No. 3 pick but traded it to acquire two-time All-Star Ariel Atkins from the Washington Mystics.

The Lynx, meanwhile, have no first-round picks in the upcoming draft, but will select players at No. 15 and No. 24 (second round), as well as No. 37 (third round).

Who could the Chicago Sky add to their roster in Monday’s WNBA Draft?

The Sky may have a player in mind they’re looking to acquire at No. 11 who they believe will be available late in the first round — but not by No. 16. SB Nation’s WNBA Mock Draft currently features a South Carolina guard Te-Hina Paopao at No. 10, South Carolina forward Sania Feagan at No. 11, and Alabama guard Sarah Ashlee Barker at No. 12. Other prospective players in that range include West Virginia guard JJ Quinerly, Florida State forward Makayla Timpson, and Kentucky guard Georgia Amoore.

Already, the Sky have veteran guards Ariel Atkins, Courtney Vandersloot, Moriah Jefferson, and Rachel Banham under contract, and young bigs in Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso. They also acquired former Los Angeles Sparks guard Kia Nurse and former Phoenix Mercury forward Rebecca Allen this offseason.

Time will tell who exactly Chicago is looking to add to their roster with this trade — but not too much time, because the WNBA Draft will take place on Monday, April 14th.
