Connecticut Sun sign former Fever guard after blowout loss
Jaelyn Brown joins the Sun for the rest of the season.

Brown signed with the Dallas Wings during the 2024 regular season, averaging 2.6 points and 1.5 rebounds over 14 games played. She was traded to the Indiana Fever in February, where she attended training camp, but was waived before the season began.
Now, she gets another chance at the WNBA playing for a team that has struggled immensely so far this season.
What Jaelyn Brown brings to the Connecticut Sun
Brown went undrafted in 2020 after a standout career at the University of California, Berkley. She has primarily played overseas in recent years, with stints in Turkey, Hungary, and Sweden. The 6’1 guard-forward averaged 15.1 points per game in her senior season at UC Berkeley and shot 34.2% from three in her collegiate career.
The Sun currently have a league-worst 1-6 record and are fresh off a 100-52 loss to the New York Liberty. So far this season, they’ve been led by Marina Mabrey (15 points, 5.1 rebounds), Tina Charles (16.1 points, 5.1 rebounds), and Olivia Nelson-Ododa (9.6 points, 6.4 rebounds).
In addition to Mabrey, rookie Saniya Rivers, Bria Hartley, Jacey Sheldon, and Haley Peters have played most of the minutes at the guard/forward spots. and Brown will now compete with those players for a spot in the rotation.
