The WNBA playoffs are just a few weeks away, and the race to secure the final playoff spots is heating up.

As it currently stands, there are 9 teams in the mix for playoff positioning:

  1. Minnesota Lynx (32-8) — 4 games left to play
  2. Las Vegas Aces (26-14) — 4 games left to play
  3. Atlanta Dream (26-14) — 4 games left to play
  4. Phoenix Mercury (26-14) — 4 games left to play
  5. New York Liberty (24-17) — 3 games left to play
  6. Golden State Valkyries (22-18) — 4 games left to play
  7. Seattle Storm (22-20) — 2 games left to play
  8. Indiana Fever (21-20) — 3 games left to play
  9. Los Angeles Sparks (19-20) — 5 games left to play

The first five teams in the standings have secured a spot in the postseason, while the Valkyries, Storm, Fever, and Sparks are fighting for the final three spots. The Valkyries have won four consecutive games to improve their positioning, and the Sparks have won two in a row, while the Storm and Fever are both coming off losses.
