The WNBA Draft Lottery has arrived, and the Dallas Wings have once again come out on top, securing the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 WNBA draft. The Wings finished with the league’s worst record last season and were favored to have the top pick entering Sunday’s lottery.

After the Wings, the Minnesota Lynx secured the No. 2 overall pick, the Seattle Storm secured the third overall pick, the Washington Mystics secured the fourth overall pick, and the Chicago Sky secured the fifth pick.

As the league’s two expansion teams, the Portland Fire and Toronto Tempo will partake in a coin toss for the No. 6 pick in the draft.

The full draft order is as follows:

  1. Dallas Wings
  2. Minnesota Lynx
  3. Seattle Storm
  4. Washington Mystics
  5. Chicago Sky
  6. Toronto Tempo/Portland Fire
  7. Portland Fire/Toronto Tempo
  8. Golden State Valkyries
  9. Washington Mystics
  10. Indiana Fever
  11. Washington Mystics
  12. Connecticut Sun
  13. Atlanta Dream
  14. Seattle Storm
  15. Connecticut Sun

The WNBA Draft Lottery results come as no surprise

Entering the night, the Wings held a 42% chance to land the No. 1 pick, after securing Paige Bueckers with the first overall pick last year.

Four other teams were in contention for the top pick entering Sunday:

  • The Minnesota Lynx (via Chicago Sky trade) held a 26.1% chance,
  • The Seattle Storm (via Los Angeles Sparks) held a 16.7% chance
  • The Washington Mystics held a 9.7% chance
  • The Chicago Sky held a 5.5% chance

Several standout players could be selected with the No. 1 overall pick, among them:

  • UCLA center Lauren Bett
  • TCU point guard Olivia Miles
  • UConn shooting guard Azzi Fudd
  • Spanish center Awa Fam
  • LSU shooting guard Flaujae Johnson

How the top picks shake up remains to be seen, but one thing is for certain: there is no shortage of talent in the incoming draft class.
