In the past couple of months, WWE has been releasing a slew of wrestlers and employees, largely due to budget cuts. Most of the wrestlers were mid-card or lower, but on Thursday evening, Alberto Del Rio, a multi-time world champion, was let go. The announcement of the release certainly does not make this sound like a budgetary or “just business” decision like most of the other releases in the past month.
Alberto Del Rio fired by WWE for ‘unprofessional conduct’
The former four-time world champion has been fired by the biggest wrestling company in the world.

WWE announced the release of Del Rio with this statement:
WWE announced the release of Alberto Del Rio due to unprofessional conduct and an altercation with an employee.
Del Rio (whose former “personal ring announcer,” Ricardo, was released at the end of July) wrestled for a decade in Mexico and Japan under a mask, using the name Dos Caras, Jr. He was a one-time CMLL World Heavyweight champion in Mexico. He also dabbled in MMA while wearing the mask, including a famous fight against Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic.
'You Can't See Me'
In WWE, he was a Money in the Bank winner and a Royal Rumble winner and most notably was a two time winner of both the WWE Championship and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
More information will likely be coming out soon, so stay tuned.
