Intercontinental Championship -- Seth Rollins (c) vs. Elias: Following an incident on Raw in which Elias smacked Rollins with a guitar, tossing him from atop the announce table, Rollins accepted a challenge for his title on Twitter.
Seth Rollins retains Intercontinental Championship belt in brutal match against Elias
Both wrestlers looked like they had the championship in hand before Seth emerged victorious.

In the aftermath of Elias hitting Seth Rollins in the head with a guitar during RAW, you knew this match was going to be a lot of fun. Indeed, it starts with Elias in the middle of the ring with his guitar wearing what is a pretty great sparkly teal robe that I would definitely bye should it be publicly available.
Elias kicked things off by calling out Rollins and getting the Chicago crowd under his spell, only to then tell the fans they’re “not worth it” and refuse to give them another song. He’s the best, and Rollins’ intro was good as well but couldn’t top that.
Rollins came out metal and hyped up as usual, and Elias smirked at the edge of the ring while he waited for things to get underway. He’s so great.
The Intercontinental Championship kicked off with both men getting the upper hand at points, with some rope work and kicks involved.
Elias eventually got Rollins outside the ring and clotheslined him, sending him off the edge with Seth’s neck hitting the apron on his way down. Once he was back in the ring Elias repeatedly kicked him and then slammed his neck on the apron again. It was not looking great for Rollins.
Multiple times in a row, Elias had Rollins pinned and Rollins was able to kick out and prevent Elias from sealing his first WWE championship. Finally, Elias got him in a rest hold with his shoulder in a very uncomfortable position which led the referee to make sure he didn’t want to tap out. But Rollins thought he had something more in him.
Which he did, eventually. Elias overpowered him a few more times but Rollins came back with multiple hits off the rope, culminating in a suicide dive. That left both men on the ground catching their breath and preparing for more damage.
With both exhausted, things truly started evening out with a few more kick outs, and eventually Rollins had Elias where he wanted him thanks to a great move off the top rope. Despite repeated hits to his knee or rough landings, it looked like Rollins had a chance to finish Elias off.
Yet Elias bounced back briefly, getting Rollins outside the ring and throwing him against the steps. After yet another kick out, Elias had Rollins laid out in the corner on the top rope, but Rollins slid out from under him and got him on his back, eventually pinning him and finally ending what was a brutal match for both men.
It was a win for the fans, because either way someone with a greasy mane who somehow looked hot with that hairstyle was going to win. Elias remains without a championship still, and Rollins proved he can hang with someone who pushes him to the limit multiple times. The best match of the night so far.
