Each day, there are stories within the sporting world that we are bombarded with even though the average fan probably doesn’t care. Here is where we mock those stories.
It’s been a slow day (see also: week) for sports, so I understand that the major sites are desperate for headlines. But a 330-pound man being winded after participating in physical activity hardly seems newsworthy (although, granted, the part about Shaq practicing with the Suns for the first time is actually relevant).
The headlines around the web in reaction to this shocking news:
-- In first Suns practice, Shaq admits to being winded (ESPN)
-- Winded Shaq feels fine after first Suns workout (SI)
-- O’Neal winded after practicing with Suns (Yahoo! Sports)
And so on. Just to confirm here people, Shaq is indeed tired from playing basketball and here’s the visual evidence:

In the spirit of fairness and full disclosure, at the time this was posted, SportingNews.com did not (yet) have this story in its homepage headlines. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing.↵
