I blew two hundred dollars at a casino at once and had to go throw up, a sign that a) I’m so cheap I sweat pennies, and b) I don’t go anywhere else to gamble in Vegas that doesn’t have a Burger King in the lobby. (I wish I could quit you, Casino Royale!)
So the concept of Latrell Sprewell earning an estimated $96,622,500 over the course of his career and having little of it to show makes me want pass out with money-shock. Sprewell’s financial woes became public this week: a $1.5 million yacht sold at auction last week at a loss, a Milwaukee area home in foreclosure, and other debts languishing in non-payment.
How could this happen? I mean, what kind of person could just let
$295,138 in unpaid mortgage payments pile up like that? Who could ignore that kind of...
