Last week I mentioned the sad case of Paul Gascoigne, British soccer great who was committed last week under the Mental Health Act after walking around his hotel constantly drunk, ordering raw liver from room service and answering the door naked, and heckling other guests with profane toy parrots.
Gascoigne had the energy to do all of this in a day for good reason: In addition to round after round of Stella Artois, Gascoigne was drinking 50 Red Bulls a day, according to a hotel worker at the Marriott Hotel.

I think this is bad for you, but the Sun felt the need to inform you that a medical professional, Dr. Carol Cooper, feels the same way.
A TIN of Red Bull has 80mg of caffeine, and an excess of this makes you manic, writes Sun Doctor Carol Cooper.
Consuming too much of the stimulant can make irrational or violent tendencies worse.
Delusions and hallucinations can occur. Physical symptoms are sweating and palpitations.
18 years of school and endless professional trainings get you “Drinking 50 cans of Red Bull will make you manic.” Score: socialized British medicine 0, common sense 1.
